Second-largest coin is set to end a third consecutive day in the green, while Bitcoin flirts with a second daily loss.

• Ethereum ETUUSD moved up slightly on Friday while the total crypto market was only barely hanging onto the green, and was mostly in the red. Even Bitcoin was was nursing the second consecutive day in the red after traders could not sustain the $100,000 mark for the past week. This, while Ethereum had been trading around$3,900 per coin and signaling higher prices for the third session in a row.
• In the big picture, Ether has not been performing well especially after it recently recorded high performance. Bitcoin is now leading year to date having recorded a near 130% increase while the second largest token has recorded an increase of approximately 80% in the same time period. However, the cryptocurrency sector still looks set for one of its better years as a means of adding the infrastructure that will permit even average individuals and institutional investors to participate in the highly speculative market.
• The past year ushered the first Bitcoin-native exchange-traded funds in the US, there are eleven of them. In less than a year into its operations, these industry players have attracted more than $ 100 billion total assets under management. Ethereum was lucky to be the second token to be given the same treatment with nine spot ETFs holding more than $10 billion worth of assets.
